Why Steam-style?

Plain-language tradeoffs between console, Windows desktop flow, and SteamOS-style approaches.

Console

  • Simple couch UX and quick resume habits
  • Locked platform and store boundaries
  • No meaningful hardware upgrades

Windows baseline

  • Broad compatibility and app support
  • Stable default for anti-cheat titles
  • Desktop-first flow unless tuned

SteamOS-style flow

  • Controller-first UI and couch-friendly boot
  • Access to a huge chunk of Steam, including games not on console
  • Lighter OS can reduce overhead and help consistency

Clear note: SteamOS-style desktop options are evolving and may have quirks depending on hardware and specific games. Windows-included builds are the stability baseline.

Build philosophy

No mystery tuning. No decorative complexity. We optimize for playable consistency.

  • Smooth frame pacing over synthetic benchmark chasing
  • Low noise targets with practical cooling and sane fan curves
  • Standard parts for future upgrades and easier service
  • Clean internal wiring and sensible out-of-box defaults
  • Arctic PST fan chaining philosophy: cleaner wiring, fewer failure points, predictable control behavior
  • Every unit is hand-assembled, tested, and documented

What people care about

  • Shipping protection and packaging that actually survives transit
  • Clear parts list with exact component disclosure
  • Fast first boot with less setup friction

FAQ

Can I install a SteamOS-style OS?

Yes. We can ship Windows as baseline, and you can install SteamOS-style alternatives. Useful setup references:
https://docs.bazzite.gg/General/Installation_Guide/
https://github.com/ChimeraOS/chimeraos/wiki/Getting-Started

Will everything work on Linux?

Most popular titles run well, but not every game is guaranteed. Driver support and game-level compatibility can vary by hardware generation and anti-cheat policy.

What about anti-cheat games?

Some anti-cheat stacks still favor Windows. For those titles, Windows remains the safest default path.

Is Windows included?

Yes. Windows-included is available and treated as our stability baseline.

What’s the warranty?

Standard coverage is 1 year for parts and labor on manufacturing faults. Full terms will be published before first drop.

What’s the return policy?

14-day return window for unused or like-new condition, with clear RMA instructions and packaging guidance.

How loud is it?

Targets are living-room reasonable under gaming load, with fan curves tuned for low tonal noise instead of sudden ramp spikes.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. The builds use standard desktop parts with upgrade paths planned from the beginning.

What’s the size compared to a console?

Think compact console-adjacent footprint, but with desktop internals and better serviceability.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. Initial batches are domestic-first while logistics and support coverage are being finalized.

Do I get a full parts list?

Yes. Each build includes an explicit parts list and basic setup documentation in the box.
